Fulham football club chairman Mohammed Al Fayed has defended his decision to unveil a statue of Michael Jackson outside the club's ground.
The statue was originally commissioned for Harrods but Craven Cottage was chosen as an alternative venue when following the department store's sale.
Speaking at the statue's unveiling yesterday (April 3), Al Fayed said fans can “go to hell” if they didn't appreciate it.
"Why is it bizarre? Football fans love it," he told BBC News.
"If some stupid fans don't understand and appreciate such a gift this guy gave to the world they can go to hell.
"I don't want them to be fans. If they don't understand and don't believe in things I believe in they can go to Chelsea, they can go to anywhere else.
Last month, Manchester United star questioned the motivation behind the statue. Jackson died in 2009.
