Noel Gallagher has revealed that he won't be releasing his new album till 2013.
The singer announced last year that he would release his second solo project with Amorphous Androgynous in 2012.
Gallagher has now admitted that he wants to build on the success of his debut Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds before he moves on to the next project.
He told NME: "I've got a break in the middle of this tour in July, so now the plan is to do something then, and then to finish it off after the tour in October. So it might come out at the end of the year, but it's more likely to be next year now.
"I set the benchmark pretty high with this record [Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds], and I'm not just putting [out] a record for the f**king sake of it. At the moment it's not a great record – so it won't come out until it is."
Noel Gallagher has unveiled the video for his latest single 'Dream On' – you can watch it below.
Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will release new single 'Dream On' on March 12.
The b-side of the single will be 'Shoot A Hole Into The Sun' - the first track to be released from the work Noel has recorded with the Amorphous Androgynous.
Meanwhile, Noel Gallagher has confirmed the support acts for his upcoming tour.
The singer will now play seven extra dates due to high demand.

The jaunt will kick off at Manchester's MEN on February 13 and will call at London's O2 Arena on the 26 before concluding up at Nottingham's Capital FM Arena on September 12.
