Rihanna returned to London yesterday, after a week of fears that the singer would pull out of today's headline performance at Wireless Festival. The singer is due to perform today at what is set to be the wettest day of this year's Hyde Park event.
Rain has been pouring in London since the early hours of Sunday morning - and Hyde Park is set for its wettest day of the Wireless Festival yet. Rain is expected to ease in the capital towards midday but more heavy downpours are forecast for the afternoon.
The singer tweeted simply '#takeoff' yesterday, seemingly confirming her appearance at the event as she jetted back to the UK.
There were fears that she may pull out of the event following the death of her grandmother last week. She pulled out of a performance at Spain's Rock In Rio event after a Swedish performance was slammed. She was criticised for miming and appearing drunk - or high on stage. It was later revealed that the performance took place on the day her grandmother died.
Rihanna's return to the UK is also expected to her hit the studio for more recording sessions for her upcoming seventh album, with which she was reportedly working with Scottish dance star Burns on new tracks. The album is her follow up to her 2011 release, 'Talk That Talk'.
