Conor Maynard launched his headline UK tour in Liverpool last night, performing a sell-out gig at the O2 Academy venue.
Performing in front of thousands of Scouse Mayniacs, the hotly tipped teenager performed hits from his 'Contrast' album, due for release next week, including 'Vegas Girl' and 'Can't Say No'.
Maynard recently spoke out about comparisons to Canadian star Justin Bieber, hitting back at suggestions that he was the British version of the international star.
"A lot of people had it in their minds that I was the next Justin Bieber. But I didn't want to follow anyone," said Maynard in a recent interview with the Daily Telegraph. "I had to find out what kind of an artist I was, because I had never been in a studio, I hadn't even written a song. I had this motto: 'It's better to fail in originality than to succeed in imitation'."
