The Olympics is set to make its mark on the singles chart this week, with the midweek chart packed with tracks performed at last weekend's closing ceremony.
Emeli Sande's 'Read All About It' is a new entry at No.3, Elbow's 'One Day Like This' enters at No.4 and 'Running Up That Hill' by Kate Bush is at No.5.
George Michael's controversial 'White Light' enters at No.8, giving the singer his first Top Ten single since 'Flawless (Go To The City)' in 2004. The singer caused uproar when he performed the new track at the closing ceremony - and later told critics to 'f*ck off'.
Un-Olympic related new entries inside the Top Ten also include 'Language' by Porter Robinson and 'Simply Amazing' by Trey Songz. However, non of these look likely to steal the No.1 from Rita Ora, whose 'How We Do (Party)' is currently at No.1.
Other tracks given Olympic boosts in the Top 40 include Muse's 'Survival' - which leaps from No.62 to No.18 and Oasis' 'Wonderwall', which enters at No.28. Ed Sheeran's 'Wish You Were Here' cover is set to enter at No.38.
