4AD star brings 'Genesis' to Jimmy Fallon's chat show
Grimes made her US TV debut on Jimmy Fallon's late night chat show last night, performing her single 'Genesis' to millions of viewers. (Aug 14).
The singer, who appeared on Jools Holland's Later earlier this year, was flanked by two dancers and wore a red kimono style outfit for the high profile gig. Playing two keyboards, the performance also involved flashes of smoke and rose petals.
Tweeting after the show, Grimes (real name Claire Boucher) said: "thank you so much @jimmyfallon @MELAmurder @LafayetteBless @laurelism my hands r still shaking haha"
Grimes latest album, 'Visions', was released earlier this year and was recently nominated for the Polaris Prize in Canada.
Meanwhile, Gwyneth Paltrow included a Grimes song in her essential Summer jams list alongside songs by Frank Ocean, French Montana, Beach House and Neon Indian.
