Posh Spice Victoria Beckham has revealed how a last minute case of nerves nearly halted the Spice Girls performance at the London 2012 closing ceremony.
The fashionista, WAG and occasional pop star joined her Spice Girls co-stars for a show-stopping performance at the end of the London Olympics, performing a medley of hits on top of London taxis. However, despite years of experience and worldwide fame, Beckham has revealed the extent of her nerves before the show.
“I was so nervous. I felt sick and Emma was so amazing," said Posh on Emma Bunton's Heart FM radio show. “Honestly, that's how you know a real friend. If it wasn't for her, I would not have been out there.”
A backstage source at the closing ceremony claims that Beckham suffered a 'full on panic attack', but adds: “Emma was brilliant and gave her a big hug, saying, ‘It's all gonna be OK, you look amazing’.”
The Spice Girls are said to be considering a full-on reunion, with Mel B most keen for more live shows with the group - but Victoria Beckham has apparently opted out of a full-time comeback.
