Monday, 20 August 2012: Last night, south London was rocking to the sounds of Kasabian, as one of the biggest bands in the UK performed at the Brixton Academy.
Kasabian headline Reading and Leeds festival this weekend, performing to up to 90,000 fans at each event, but ahead of these massive shows, they took to the much smaller Brixton venue for a warm-up gig for London fans.
The band recently revealed that they were glad they weren't invited to perform at the London 2012 closing ceremony, and their Brixton gig was free from any Olympics themes, just fine British indie rock and roll. The full setlist, which included a cover version of Fatboy Slim's 'Praise You' is as follows:
'Days Are Forgotten'
'Shoot The Runner'
'Velociraptor!'
'Underdog'
'Where Did All The Love Go?'
'Swarfiga'
'Let's Roll Just Like We Used To'
'ID'
'Take Aim'
'Everybody's Got To Learn Sometime'
'Club Foot'
'Re-Wired'
'Empire'
'Fast Fuse'
'Man Of Simple Pleasures'
'Praise You'
'LSF'
'Switchblade Smiles'
'Vlad The Impaler'
'Fire'
