One Direction were the big winners at last night's MTV Video Music Awards, scooping two awards in Los Angeles.
The teen boyband were up against some steep competition in their categories, with Justin Bieber amongst their rivals. However, Harry Styles and co. left the ceremony with the awards for Best Pop Video and the prestigious Best New Artist.
Rihanna won the big prize overall, scooping the award for Video of The Year alongside Calvin Harris for 'We Found Love'.
Other winners on the night included Drake, Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry and Beyonce.
UK stars MIA and Coldplay were both victorious too, with the former winning two awards for her 'Bad Girls' video. Coldplay, meanwhile, won best rock video for their single 'Paradise'.
