K-Pop star Psy and his smash hit single 'Gagnam Style' could be on course to score the first ever No.1 single for a Korean artist in both the UK and US.
The single is selling well on both sides of the Atlantic with 'Gangnam Style' currently number one on the US iTunes and number two in the UK at the time of writing.
If the song were to reach number one in either country it would represent the first ever number one for a K-Pop star in either country.
'Gangnam Style' is also number one in the iTunes charts in Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland and New Zealand.
Psy has taken the US by storm in recent weeks, making appearances on the Today show and MTV VMAs as well as teaching Ellen DeGeneres how to dance like he does in the Gangnam Style video, viewed over 200m times online.
The interest in Psy is so big that Justin Bieber's manager Scooter Braun, also responsible for Carly Rae Jepsen, has signed the Korean 34 year old.
'Gangnam Style' is hovering in the top twenty of this weeks Official UK Singles Chart and could well rise to the top in the coming weeks.
