Rihanna has confirmed that her new single 'Diamonds' will get its world premiere this Wednesday (Sept 26th).
Chatting about the single, which is taken from Rihanna's next album, the singer said that she had left the dance sound behind on the track and that it will have a "happy and hippy" vibe instead.
Speaking to iHeartRadio, Rihanna added:"It's laid-back but it's hopeful. It's a record that... gives me such a great feeling when I listen to it. The lyrics are very hopeful and positive, but it's about love and... a little different to what people would expect, I think. "
Revealing: "I'm excited to surprise them sonically."
It has already been confirmed that 'Diamonds' is a track worked on by backroom superstars Sia, Stargate and Benny Bianco.
Stargate's manager Tim Blacksmith unofficially announced the news, with Benny Bianco then tweeting lyrics from the track. 'Like diamonds in the sky' he posted on Twitter, which was then retweeted by Sia.
Stargate has previously produced Rihanna hits including 'Take A Bow', 'Rude Boy', 'Only Girl' and 'What's My Name'. Benny Bianco meanwhile is best known for his extensive work on tracks with Ke$ha - who has recently hinted at a collaboration between herself and Rihanna.
Sia meanwhile, is the busiest woman in music. As well as guesting on David Guetta's current hit single 'She Wolf (Falling To Pieces)', she has also penned tracks for the new Christina Aguilera album and is working on three new albums of her own.
