Jack White left his New York fans angry last night, walking out of his headline show after just one hour (Sept 29).
The 'Blunderbuss' star, who released his debut solo album earlier this year, was headlining the Radio City venue in New York but left the stage after an hour and failed to return. Fans thought he was taking an extended break and waited to for him to return, however, the former White Stripes man failed to make his way back to the stage.
White's usual solo sets have lasted around two hours with songs from all of White's previous bands being aired.
Angry fans took to Twitter to complain about being short changed however, Hunter Walker, a politics reporter for the New York Observer, appeared to shed some light on the situation when he Tweeted: "Mystery solved. Security guy @ Radio City said Jack White 'wasn't happy with the sound, I don't know why he pulled that'."
Jack White recently admitted he is not a fan of playing at music festivals, labelling them a 'necessary evil'.
