Blur are the first band announced for the two editions of Primavera Sound 2013 in Barcelona and Porto.

With many suspecting Blur’s gig at Hyde Park in London this August was their last for quite some time, this announcement follows on from Friday's news about the band playing live in Belgium next Summer at Rock Werchter. At the moment Primavera Sound 2013 will be the first shows of 2013 for the Brit-rockers who are not showing signs of hanging their instruments up just yet.

Damon Albarn and co will head out to Spain and Portugal next May to play the only dates in these countries next year. Blur will play Barcelona on Friday 24th May 2013 and Porto on Friday 31st May 2013.

The band performed a huge Hyde Park concert to mark the end of the London 2012 Olympics, which many expected to be their last ever show. However, they last week announced another festival show at Rock Werchter in Belgium in 2013.
