Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke took his chance to mock The Daily Mail onstage during Monday’s (October 8th) gig at the O2 by sarcastically calling it a “quality newspaper.”
Five songs into Radiohead’s first date at the O2 Arena, Yorke introduced the band’s track of the same name before jokingly telling the crowd that the national newspaper was a “quality newspaper.” Yorke obviously couldn’t help himself and then got caught up in a fit of giggles, having to restart the song because he could not stop chucking at his Daily Mail quip.
The band have just completed their world tour which saw just three UK dates, one in Manchester and two at the O2 in London. A fan of the band this week put his O2 tickets on sale, revealing he was selling the tickets because his girlfriend had been cheating on him.
