Garbage frontwoman Shirley Manson was this week the victim of a Twitter hack, when an online pirate took control of the band's feed and pretended to Tweet as the star, drunk.
We've all had experiences of drunk tweets, Facebook posts or Twitter updates, but it seems a string of seemingly intoxicated tweets from from Manson were the work of a triumphant hacker.
The unknown hacker, who is presumed to be male, invited online female fans to send "really attractive" photos of themselves to the Garbage Twitter account to be retweeted as he pretended to be a drunk Shirley Manson.
"Getting a lot of questions about what I'm drinking. Is it that obvious I'm drunk??? Vanilla Malt and a few coolers :)" was tweeted, before following with: "There will be whipped cream and Shirley for all."
The hacker later admitted that the tweets were fake, telling Garbage followers: "I hacked this stupid motherf**king band and have been f**king with you for ages!"
Don't mess with Shirley Manson at her live shows
Manson isn't one to be messed with however, as she proved during a US gig earlier in 2012, when she threw a male fan out of a gig in Atlantic City for attacking a woman.
"Get the f**k off her - right now," yelled the rock frontwoman as she stopped singing and demanded the band stop playing. "Dude. Never hit a f**king woman. What the f**k is wrong with you, man?"
As she regained her composure, Manson addressed the audience, saying: "OK, we're going to try that one again. Oh shit, you're getting all racy in here. What the f**k is going on, Atlantic city?"
Then turning back to the punch-throwing fan as he was removed from the audience, she said: "She started it? Oh Jesus Christ - OK."
Manson expressed her disappointment at violent audience members at their shows, telling the US audience that she would not tolerate violence at Garbage shows.
"We're going to have like five people to play to by the end of the show," she continued. "You're fighting, baby, you gotta leave now. You'can't f**king fight, man. You can't fight. I'm sorry, that's the rules, man. We just need to all simmer down."
