CBS have bought a new sitcom from writer Dave Goetsch, whose writing credits also include 3rd Rock From The Sun, named Smells Like Teen Spirit, it has been confirmed.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show revolves around an 18-year-old budding entrepreneur who forgoes Harvard and instead opts to launch a multibillion-dollar Internet company from his garage with the assistance of his sister, best friend and his 1990s indie-rock parents.
The show is to be called Smells Like Teen Spirit - after the Nirvana song - and we're guessing the youth aspect plus the 'indie-rock parents' are where the title comes in, then.
It's not yet known whether Courtney Love has given her permission for the song title to be used - it's just a pity that they didn't go for 'Heart-Shaped Box', considering Courtney's lovely statement that the song is about her vagina.
We are sure Courtney Love will have something (angry) to say about the sitcom
It's been a week of music related television news, especially with the announcement that ex-N-dubz star Dappy is going to get his own reality TV show.
The 12-part TV show will not only follow Dappy's 'music career', but also his home life - including his girlfriend, Kaye Vassell, and his sons Gino and Milo.
Dappy is already insisting that it will be "bigger and badder than The Only Way Is Essex, and much better."
We're looking forward to the CBS show a lot more than we are the Dappy programme, we can't lie.
