X Factor's Rylan Clark reportedly angered close friends and family after inviting them to his birthday party last night (25 October) - only to spend the entire night filming behind a security barrier.
The contestant had a Halloween themed birthday party at London nightclub Mahiki, and celebrity guests such as Tulisa, Nicole Scherzinger and TOWIE's Harry Derbidge were in attendance - as well as fellow contestants including District 3, Union J and Lucy Spraggan.
Rylan had also invited close family and friends, who travelled from the singer's hometown in Essex to attend.
But apparently they were left fuming after they didn't get to speak to him at all during the night. Instead, Rylan spent the night behind a security barrier, filming for The X Factor.
According to The Mirror, one family member was overheard saying, "What’s the point of coming if we aren’t even going to get to speak to him?"
And an onlooker said, "A lot of people made the trek from Essex for what was meant to be his birthday party but he spent most of the night behind both a cordon and security.
"No one could get close."
District 3: Looking devilishly handsome there, boys...
However, Rylan still seemed to have a good time - although hopefully he didn't cause a scene outside the hotel, like he did earlier this month.
Rylan flashed his bum at photographers outside the posh London hotel and got into a rowdy argument with fellow contestant Lucy Spraggan. Afterwards, he admitted that he had to tone his behaviour down - at least for the next week. There was no flashing last night, so hopefully he's got the hint!
Speaking to Heatworld, Rylan admitted: "Oh God, the hotel were not happy with that kind of press. I’m holed up in a hotel in Wembley for five days. I’ve got to behave myself.
"I can’t believe it. I was so drunk, but I said I’d do it and I f**king did it. "The X Factor team warned me not to but they love it really.”
