Despite audiences falling for Ella Henderson and boyband Union J, leaked voting figures reveal that Jahmene Douglas is the only X Factor in with a chance of beating Christopher Maloney in this year's series.
According to The Daily Star, Jahmene is Chris's only real competition. Chris has been topping the public votes for the past two weeks, despite producers apparently wanting to get rid of him.
Now it has been revealed that Chris and Jahmene are pulling half of the votes between them, and Ella Henderson has been struggling - despite the fact that she's been the bookies' favourite to win from the start.
A source told The Daily Star, "If producers want to stop Chris winning - and it’s a big 'if' - then it’s Jahmene they will have to push over the line. It seems a long shot from here for any of the others."
The source added, "It may be that Ella’s fans think she is walking it and so they don’t need to vote for her. If that’s the case they couldn’t be more mistaken."
Jahmene, right, with two members of now eliminated group District 3.
They continued, "After a fairly strong start when she was in the top three for a few weeks, support has fallen away. For the last couple of weeks she has been languishing just a couple of percent above the bottom two.
"She would only have to drop a few thousand votes to find herself at risk. It's time her fans came out and backed her, or they risk losing her for the final."
Chris has also reportedly been given warnings over his lateness - the contestant is apparently constantly late for rehearsals, and even his mentor Gary Barlow is starting to get angry.
According to The Metro, Chris has been told off four times for being late after his most recent reprimand for being an hour late for the group rehearsal of U2's 'Beautiful Day'.
