Johnny Depp is planning a pirate themed compilation album, and is getting some of his rock star friends to help.
The album, titled Son of Rogue's Gallery: Pirate Ballads, Sea Songs & Chanteys, is to be released through Tom Waits' record label and is the second pirate themed album from Johnny Depp.
Son of Rogue's Gallery features Depp himself on some of the tracks, as well as fellow Hollywood star Anjelica Huston.
Keith Richards performs 'Shenandoah' with Tom Waits, while Sean Lennon stars on 'Row Bullies Row'. Iggy Pop has two songs, while Patti Smith joins Depp for 'The Mermaid'.
Other stars include Courtney Love with Michael Stipe on 'Rio Grande', Broken Social Scene in both 'Jack Tar on Shore' and 'Wild Goose', and even Macy Gray makes an appearance.
Frank Zappa, Nick Cave, Akron and Marianne Faithfull are also among the artists included.
Richards is no stranger to working with Depp. The Rolling Stones guitarist previously starred in the 2007 film, Pirates of the Caribbean: At the World's End, and even said he'd reprise his role if he could.

He told Absolute Radio, "So they say, you know, I've got the costume, and I'm waiting for the heads up, but apparently there is.
"I don't know if it'll be next year that we shoot it or whatever, but as I say, you know, I got the costume and the beard and the shirt.
"Have I heard anything? No, I haven't. I haven't read a script. I haven't heard anything. With Johnny and the director Rob Marshall, it's like anything. But I don't mean movies. I consider them my friends. And I really love them and respect them."
