X Factor finalist Ella Henderson is planning to release her debut album in 2013, after signing to Sony music following a bidding war from a number of record labels.
Henderson was the early favourite to win this year's X Factor after stunning audiences and judges in the audition stages of this year's TV talent show. However, Henderson eventually placed sixth in the competition.
Following her elimination she was the subject of a reported bidding war from a number of Sony record labels, but is now said to have signed to one of the interested parties and is planning to release her debut album in 2013.
The Daily Mail reports that Henderson confirmed the news on The Saturday Night show and later took to Twitter to confirm it.
"Thank u for your kind messages! X It's all of you who help to inspire my music!! I cannot wait for 2013.. #JustTheBeginning," she tweeted on Sunday 16 December, 2012.
She is the first X Factor finalist to have confirmed a record deal apart from winner James Arthur.
Ella Henderson's elimination was one of the big shocks of X Factor 2012
After her elimination from the show in November, 16-year-old Henderson immediately hit a career hiccup, when her age meant she was forced to cancel a string of club gigs due to licensing laws.
However, her career seemed certain to offer much more than nightclub gigs when Sony imprints Columbia, RCA and Epic wanted to work with the young singer. It is yet to be revealed which she has signed with.
