Dappy has been accused of spitting at two teenage girls and calling the pair 'slags' in a petrol station brawl, a court has heard this week.
The chart topping London rapper appeared in court yesterday (7 January) to face charges of affray in February of 2012, which left three men with what have been described as 'severe facial injuries'.
The Evening Standard reports that Dappy is charged with common assault after he spat at two 18-year-old girls, Grace Elizabeth Cochran and Serena Burton, and beating 23-year-old David Jenkins.
It is claimed that Dappy invited the girls to get in a car with him and his friends - but was refused and called 'boring' by the pair. Dappy is accused of punching Jenkins when he came to the girls' aid and putting him in a headlock.
Dappy has reportedly denied the allegations, but admits he was drunk at the time.
Dappy previously appeared in court in 2012 to face the charges
"What very quickly became apparent was however interested Mr Contostavlos might have been in the girls they were not interested in him and so his attitude changed, and from being polite and inviting he became rude," said prosecutor Brian Stork.
"He called the girls 'slags', he described one of them as 'ugly', and then as a result of one of the girls calling him ‘boring’, he reacted by spitting at one of these two girls.
“It was a mob attack on a group of individuals who were quite frankly unable to defend themselves against the numbers and ferocity of the attack," Stork continued. "They were on the wrong end of a beating."
