Geri Halliwell has taken a leaf out of Rihanna's book and posted a shot of herself in her underwear while recording in the studio. See the photo below.

Citing the heat in the studio as a reason, Geri posted the photo on her Twitter account, which shows her from the waist up in nothing but a lacy bra while she sings into the microphone.

The Spice Girls star posted the photo with the caption, "Warned not to tweet this,but here goes, - hot in studio "apparently" Kate Bush took her bra off!"

Geri debuted a song from the new album at the Breast Cancer Care Show in October last year, titled 'Phenomenal Woman', and tweeted, "Amazing to perform,1st time as a solo artist in 7 years,especially for@BCCare inspirational people!"

The album is rumoured to be called Putting On The Bling, and is set to be released early this year. It will be a follow up to 2005's Passion, which only made it to number 41 in the UK album charts - so we're sure that Geri is hoping her latest effort will fare better.

She also hinted at songs on a new album a few days ago, writing on Twitter, "In studio with@andyabsolute & @paulabsolute writing a song about spanking..."

According to the Daily Mail, Geri said last year about her solo career, "I am very excited. I am in the studio and an announcement is imminent.

"I've been mastering my album and I'm really excited that the pop career is about to come back."
