Noise, more Blur farewell gigs and more
- No George Michael: Oh George. The Olympics closing ceremony was held in slightly less regard than the opening, and a lot of that can be laid at the self-promoting door of George Michael, who used the event to perform his new single. It didn't go down well, and wasn't very good and for that reason, we are barring George Michael from any summer performances at the stadium. Soz.
This week it has bee announced that Hyde Park gigs, including Wireless Festival and Hard Rock Calling would be taking place at the Olympic stadium in Stratford in 2013. This is a good thing because, quite frankly, the 2012 Hyde Park summer shows were a bit of a shambles.
One major problem dogged huge shows from the likes of Blur and Madonna - poor sound, with complaints from local residents about sound levels. Although quite frankly, if you can afford to live within earshot of Hyde Park, then you ought to be able to find the cash for some decent double glazing.
So, with the move of Live Nation gigs from Hyde Park to Stratford, we've come up with a list of things we want, nay, DEMAND to see happen inside the Olympic stadium.
