Australian electro star Flume has revealed how he celebrated beating One Direction to the top of the iTunes chart in his homeland.
Speaking to Gigwise ahead of his London gig at XOYO this week, the 21-year-old star who has made waves with his singles 'Sleepless' and current Chet Faker collaboration 'Left Alone', told of us of his amazement when his self-titled debut beat the X Factor boyband's Take Me Home to the top of the charts.
"It was never really a possibility! We knew the record was coming out on the same day as the One Direction record but it wasn't a thing. It couldn't happen," he told us after soundchecking for his sold out show. "When it did happen it was like 'holy f*ck'!"
"I sat in my room and celebrated with a a Makers Mark on the rocks."
Flume's self-titled debut album is released in the UK on 18 February, 2013.
