Lady Gaga has written an open letter to her fans to thank them for their support as she underwent hip surgery recently.
The star was forced to cancel 21 live dates of her Born This Way Ball world tour as it was discovered she was suffering from inflammation of the joints and synovitis.
After successful surgery, Gaga, who refers to herself as the 'Mother Monster' wrote to her 'Little Monsters'.
The letter reads, "Monsters, you really gave me a lot of strength today. Everything happened so fast, but when it came time to face it I reflected on the many stories and experiences you've shared with me about your lives."
The 'Marry The Night' singer was set to perform at venues across the US and Canada, but was forced to cancel after admitting to not being able to walk after one of her concerts.
In the letter, Gaga goes on to say: "You have changed my life. I love you and am proud to be a part of your lives.
"If you can do it, I can do it too, and if we stick together we can get through anything. Love, Gaga".
