Jermaine Jackson has officially changed his surname from Jackson to Jacksun and is now officially called Jermaine Jackson in a change that will make no difference to anything at all.
The former Jackson 5 member and brother to Michael Jackson, has stated the cause for renaming himself is for ‘artistic’ purposes and was approved by the LA County Superior Court judge, becoming official on Wednesday, February 20 2013.
Newly named Jacksun is currently on a tour of Europe with the remaining Jackson brothers Jackie, Marlon and Tito as part of their Unity Tour which sees the foursome back together on stage for the first time in nearly three decades and the first since Michael’s death in 2009.
There were rumours that Jermaine wanted to change his name because of a recent family rift over the care of his brother Michael’s children and his mother Katherine Jackson.

However, Jermaine’s attorney Bret D. Lewis denied this claims saying the change was purely for “artistic reasons”.
The UK dates for the 'Unity Tour' are as follows:
Birmingham NIA (February 26)
Manchester O2 Apollo (27)
Glasgow Clyde Auditorium (28)
Bournemouth BIC (March 2)
London Hammersmith Apollo (3)
