Role in Battleship doesn't go down well at spoof awards held on the evenong before Oscars
Rihanna's voice might've made her one of the most popular popstars in the world, but her acting apparently isn't quite up to the same standard.
The ‘Diamonds’ singer was handed a Razzie (Golden Raspberry Award), the one award actors dread winning, for her supporting actress role in action film Battleship.
The Razzies were founded in 1981 by American copywriter and publicist John B. Wilson to recognised the worst in cinema over the past 12 months. The ceremony takes place annually the evening before the Academy Awards
But the biggest ‘winner’ of the night was Twilight; Breaking Dawn – Part 2, bagging seven awards, including Worst Actress for Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner for Worst Supporting Actor.
Founder John Wilson criticised Stewart’s lack of expression in her acting.
The last installment of the Twilight Saga was the biggest 'winner' at the awards
Singer Dido was recently reported as having criticised Rihanna’s ability to write quality songs and release new music at her prolific rate, but today has denied that she made those comments and says she has been misquoted.
