28 February, 2013: Hangover - what hangover? Biffy Clyro were in fine form after their win at the NME Awards, jetting to Finland to perform a storming gig for their Scandinavian fans.
The band are celebrating a massive year already, having topped the UK album chart for the first time with their current album Opposites, and scooping the NME award for Best British Band at the annual bash in London this week. The band performed the relatively small Nosturi club, a far cry from the stages they will be performing this summer, when Biffy headline Download festival.
Biffy this week revealed how they had turned down the chance to work with Leona Lewis and Robbie Williams, with frontman Simon Neil saying he was too protective over his work to share with another artist.
"Writing for others is something I'd love to do once we slow down as a band. But if you write a song that you thing is one of the best ever, and it's not for our band, I don't know if I'd be happy giving that away.
"I'm a wee bit selfish about it," he added.
