Chris Brown isn't the most popular man with music fans - and US sports fans either, after a basketball crowd booed the controversial singer in New York on Sunday (31 March 2013).
The 'Don't Wake Me Up' singer was attending a New York Knicks game with movie director Spike Lee, when his face was reportedly shown on big screens at the basketball game. New York publication NYDailyNews.com claims that the crowd at the game booed loudly at the sight of the star, who is more famous for beating up Rihanna than most of his pop singles.
Brown is said to have simply smiled as he was jeered by the audience, seemingly unmoved by the crowd's negative reaction to his presence at the sporting event.
The US star has taken a huge amount of criticism since the 2009 attack, but while many still take issue with the star, one person who has forgiven him is Rihanna. Speaking of their reconciliation recently, Brown revealed he won her back by simply being 'the best man he could'.
Brown may not be popular at basketball, but he has won back Rihanna
Speaking to Ryan Seacrest on his US radio show recently, Brown admitted that he "didn't know" if Rihanna would ever forgive him.
Brown says: "I just tried my best to be the best man I could be over the years and just show her how remorseful and sorry I was for the incident."
"That time was probably the worst part of my life. Being at that young age I can tell you I was arrogant and definitely hotheaded."
