Engineering on the Piccadilly line forces band to move London gig out of capital and into Hertfordshire
Engineering works on the Tube causing travel disruption is nothing new, but The xx have now been forced to move the UK date of their Night + Day series thanks to transport problems.
The event was originally planned to take place in Osterly Park, in the western London suburb of Hounslow, but TFL have now informed the group that the Piccadilly line will be closed for major engineering works on the weekend of the event, which includes Osterley tube station.
The event will now take place at Hatfield House, in Hertfordshire.
The move means the event will boast an increased capacity, and will now take place on June 22.
The lineup currently features appearances from Polica, Kindness, and Mount Kimbie, and Solange will now also play a live show.
The xx will headline the event.
