Daft Punk have given a track by track explanation of new album Random Access Memories to French magazine Le nouvel Observateur.
While the interview is entirely in French - and can be found here - it's possible to get some hints about the new album with the help of Google Translate. The band speak about new single 'Get Lucky', as well as the other much anticipated songs on the thirteen track album.
Speaking about 'Instant Crush', the song with The Strokes' Julian Casablancas, the band said, "We, basically, we love rock and the concept of the rock band, but there were so many strong things that the emergence of a new voice at one point became difficult.
"Recently, The Strokes and MGMT - with dimensions and sensitivities - succeeded. Julian has a punk rock side, a super strong emotional impact in its melodies. It was important to have this album to feel surrounded by our contemporaries."

They also refer to 'Touch' as "the crux of the album," and 'Beyond' is described as "a cosmic super song with very poetic lyrics and very pure".
'Motherboard' is said to be "a futuristic piece, which could be the year 4000," whereas the robots' description of 'Doin' It Right' says it is the "only electronic song on the album," and mentions Panda Bear's "angelic voice."
