An 18-year-old Shropshire student suffered a vicious attack after classmates discovered the girl was earning money working as a professional Taylor Swift lookalike.
Xenna Kristian was reportedly kicked in the face and left with serious bruising and a suspected broken jaw after the brutal attack close to Walford and North Shropshire College.
"Some girls at college had started making nasty comments, but it escalated really quickly," said Kristian in an interview with The Daily Mail. "The girl came up behind me and dragged me off my chair by my pony tail, then started kicking me in the face."
Local police confirmed the attack, telling news website news.au: "We have received a report that a teenage girl was assaulted on King Street, however we cannot comment further at this time."
While Taylor wins awards, her UK lookalike suffered a brutal attack
Taylor Swift herself recently suffered for her own fame, when a fan reportedly swam a mile to reach the star's US beach home. The man was arrested after his marathon swim to meet the star.
According to TMZ, in mid-May 2013 police officials "spotted the man getting out of the ocean, around 1 mile from Swift's home" at about 2:20AM, and later arrested him. He is reportedly still in custody at a nearby police station.
The man insisted that he just wanted to get closer to the star and, when asked about his actions, said "he had just completed a swim, in which he intended to meet [her]."
