8-9 June, 2013: Festival season is officially underway, with Manchester's Parklife Weekender taking place over the weekend, bathed in warm sunshine as summer finally hit the UK.

Of course, with any festival, the bands on stage are only half the attraction - the punters are often equally interesting. Our photographer headed up to Manchester this weekend to snap some of the party-goers at Parklife, from gurning ravers dancing topless in Heaton Park, to thrill-seekers riding amusements, to full-scale American football matches taking place in the park.
