Band play 27-song set of crowd-requested covers
Wilco have become the latest band to offer up their rendition of Daft Punk’s most recent hit ‘Get Lucky’, playing their cover at Solid Sound Festival in Massachusetts.
The group played an entire set of audience-requested covers, spanning 27 songs, that saw them coverig The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bib Dylan, Thin Lizzy and Pavement among others.
Yo La Tengo joined them for their cover of the band’s 1995 track ‘Tom Courtenay’ and Tommy Stinson joined them for their cover of the Replacements’ ‘Color Me Impressed’.
The majority of the set stuck to traditional rock numbers, but Wilco got a little more contemporary with their cover of ‘Get Lucky’ which stayed fairly faithful to the original.

Last week Questlove and ‘Captain’ Kirk Douglas tackled the track on the Jimmy Fallon Show, playing a folky rendition of the track as the ‘Black Simon & Garfunkel’.
Nicholas Jaar recently went a little further than simply covering ‘Get Lucky’, instead remixing Random Access Memories in it’s entirety.
We can only wait and see who’ll be next to try their hand on Get Lucky next, but band Introducinglive recently recreated the duo’s seminal album Discovery live.
