British pop star Lily Allen has confirmed the release of her new, and long anticipated, third studio album early 2014 and has revealed it will be significantly different to her previous work.
Hoping to be released early spring 2014, Lily Rose Cooper told Britain’s Sunday People, "I'm really enjoying writing it (the album) and hope it will be ready for March. It is very different to what I've done before."
Allen had previously confirmed via Twitter, of recording sessions with producer Greg Kurstin, who also worked on Pink’s ‘The Truth About Love’ album - on which Allen also guested. This will make her third studio album since the 2009 release, It’s Not Me, It’s You and also her debut as Lily Rose Cooper, her marital name having dropped Allen.

Having officially retired from the music scene in 2009, allowing her to focus on her fashion career and motherhood, apart from her Pink collaboration, Allen’s only involvement in the music industry since has been writing songs for the West End version of Bridget Jones' Diary. Fuelling her musical comeback, rumours then circulated in 2012 as she was spotted at North London studios, RAK.
With her new name, new sound and even plans of reinventing her signature rebellious image, it has been reported the star is anxious upon her return. With worries of whether she’ll still be liked and whether or not her new sound will be well received.
