Phoenix have premiered their new video for their second single from current album Bankrupt!, 'Trying To Be Cool'. Check it out below.
Made in conjunction with The Creators Project and directed by the CANADA collective, it was filmed entirely live in full takes of the song.
Featuring the bands live performance throughout the track, the video also sees two film crews continuously swapping cameras, whilst shooting, like a relay baton every 25 seconds. No easy task. If the camera is not set up on time, the video cuts to black.
From this and the bands ability to remain cool throughout, the result captures the excitement and absurdity each shot offers. Featuring anything from sparklers, confetti canons, a Marilyn Monroe impersonator, motorcycles, fake moustaches and even a monkey...
