Jake Bugg has revealed how special he found the experience of supporting The Rolling Stones at their recent Hyde Park shows in London.
Speaking to Gigwise backstage at Optimus Alive festival in Portugal this weekend, the Nottingham star said he went into the show with low expectations.
"I said to the lads, when you go on the stage, just assume everyone there doesn't know who the fuck we are," said Bugg. "So if one person claps, it's a bonus. They weren't very enthusiastic when we were on, but you know, you're supporting the fucking Rolling Stones, what can you expect? That's an honour in itself."
Speaking about this weekend's performance at T In The Park, Bugg added: "The crowd were appreciative. Every time i've done a show in Scotland it's always been brilliant to be honest. They are just there to have a good time and hear the music. That's what it's about."
