14 July, 2013: If you're yet to see Of Monsters & Men live, do it at the soonest possible opportunity. The Icelandic band have been a festival regular since the release of their debut album My Head Is An Animal in 2013, and their crowds keep getting bigger and bigger.
This weekend, the band performed at Optimus Alive in Lisbon, and packed the festival's Heineken stage with one of the most enthusiastic, energetic crowds at the event. The band's live following in Portugal is clearly as enormous as it is across the UK and the rest of the world.
Speaking to Gigwise at Optimus Alive, Of Monsters & Men frontwoman Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir told us that the one thing the band were looking forward to in 2013 was a break from relentless touring. "
To be very honest, we stop touring in August and we're really excited, even if it has been very fun," she said. "We want to do some more songs. We're itching for it."
Just another reason to see Of Monsters & Men at the soonest possible opportunity. Check out photos of their show right here.
