65DaysOfStatic: Not to be missed at this years Tramlines is 65DaysOfStatic special presentation of their Sleepwalk City event - taking place across Saturday and Sunday at Millennium Gallery. The band will accompany their Sleepwalk City installation with a series of live 30 minute, experimental electronic performances.
Dutch Uncles: Already three albums in, these Mancunians are ready to give their all to audiences this weekend. With a new album Out Of Touch In The Wild released earlier this year, their noisy percussion fuelled sets and topped off with lead singers Duncan Wallis' 'unique' dance moves are sure to be a high energy festival highlight this Saturday.
Fenech-Soler: Found at the Main Stage this Saturday are Fenech-Soler. Due to release their second album Rituals early September, their debut saw recognition from the likes of Q, NME and Radio 1. Be sure not to miss their eerily beautiful, electro pop performance.
Lianne La Havas: A hybrid mix of alternative folk and soul makes Lianne La Havas something truly special,. Find her performing at the Main Stage this Saturday. The London born singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist has opened for the likes of Bon Iver and even bagged a nomination for the BBC's Sound of 2012 poll.
Lulu James: Citing influences from Whitney to Jamie XX, Lulu James offers outstanding lyricism in the form of 21st century soul. Working on her debut album due to be released this summer, her hauntingly beautiful vocals are one to hear in person this Saturday, on the Main Stage.
Rolo Tomassi: Referred to as the north of England's best kept secret, Rolo Tomassi have no loyalties when it comes to genres. Combining erratic, noisy chaos with prog-rock and bass-led riffs. Their electronic elements make for a huge live impact erratic yet coherent, find them this Sunday.
Slow Club: Sheffield's own boy-girl duo, Slow Club, formed in 2005 have been committed to gigging extensively around the north of England. Their northern soul charming vocals matched with rasping guitars and rockabilly beats will be a treat to witness live. With an added bass player and drummer to their live sets, prepare yourself for a much bigger sound this Sunday at the DQ stage.
Jim Jones Revue: Known as rock'n'roll statesmen in France, Jim Jones Revue are heavily set in their rock'n'roll roots. Having shared bills with The Stooges and Jack White, their raspy vocals, heavy use of guitar and splashes of piano bring raw rock and roll to the forefront. Performing this Sunday at the Main Stage, an amazing performance is anticipated.
Sky Larkin - Returned this spring, Sky Larkin are back and ready to build up to their eagerly anticipated third album, due this autumn. Having spend the last winter writing in Yorkshire before finishing up in Seattle, their energetic rhythms promise good things on Saturday.
Summer Camp: This dreamy London based duo, Summer Camp are much adored for their memorising dream pop. With hints of 60's influence and sepia film soundtrack-esque qualities, escapism never sounded so good. See them live this Sunday at the Queens Social Club.
Wet Nuns: Embracing old rock and roll cliches, the Sheffield and Leeds lad duo play with horror film visuals as they create honest, dirty rock. Hotly tipped and with already three headline tours under their belts, sometimes you just need a bit of heavy rock in your life, see them at Stage Two at the O2 Academy this Sunday.
Wolf Alice: One definitely not to be missed this Sunday are north London based group, Wolf Alice. Categorised nicely together with the likes of Peace and Swim Deep, this fiery group manage to combine indepth layers of dreamy, noisy, multi-instrumental grunge all at the same time.
New Young Pony Club: After a long 2 year hiatus, Andy and Tahita are back this Saturday at Stage Two on the O2 Academy stage with their third record. With their honest take on alternative disco sound they've been holed up adding final touches to their upcoming LP, however they've just about managed to escape, just in time for Tramlines with hinted new material.
iLiKETRAiNS: Leeds alternative, post rock band iLiKETRAiNS execute brooding songs with utter charisma. Demonstrated through baritone vocals, orchestral crescendos, featuring sparse piano and guitar they'll be performing on Saturday at City Hall.
