The first official image of André 3000 playing guitar legend Jimi Hendrix in the upcoming biopic All Is By My Side has surfaced online. See the photo below.
Along with the uncannily authentic image, an official synopsis for the film has also been released.
The film, which is directed and written by John Ridley, charts the period in which Hendrix made his transition from the unknown backup musician Jimmy James, to one of the greatest guitar legends we are so familar with today.

Set between 1966 and 1967, the biopic will feature André 3000 showing us Hendrix on the cusp of his rock and roll stardom, before the release of his debut LP Are you Experienced.
The film will undoubtley provide a deeply personal insight into the man who would go onto to release 13 studio albums and leave a huge musical legacy before his death in 1970.
'All Is By My Side' will be first shown in September at the Toronto International Film Festival.
