Number 1 for Avicii's single and Douglas' album

Swedish producer Avicii currently has the top selling single in the UK midweek charts, and X-Factor runner up Jahmene Douglas has smashed the album charts with his debut.
Avicii's 'Wake Me Up' is leading the singles chart, selling 267,000 in its release week. The Swedish DJ is currently 26,000 sales in front of the unintentionally ironic 'Best Song Ever' by One Direction which is his closest rival.
The other contenders for the top are Robin Thicke at No.3 with 'Blurred Lines', John Newman at No.4 with 'Love Me Again' and 'I Love It' by Icona Pop at No.5.
New entries to the charts this week include Professor Green featuring Miles Kane with 'Are You Getting Enough' which is currently at No.60, Diana Vickers enters at 46 with 'Cinderella' and Scouting For Girls' 'Millionaire' is at 44. Nina Nesbitt managed to enter the charts at 39 with her new track 'Way in The World'.

Jahamene Douglas' debut LP Love Never Fails has rocketed to the top of the albums chart knocking contenders Robin Thicke and Jay Z down to second and third respectively. Passenger follows at No.4 and Selena Gomez tails at No.5.
The Rolling Stones have proven that they can still sell records with Hyde Park Live currently at No.15 despite its surprise unnanounced release ealier this week. Elsewhere, Fuck Buttons enter the chart at No.30 with Slow Focus.
