Frontman Josh talks single success and album
You Me At Six have spoken of the overwhelming success of new single 'Lived A Lie', which was released this week, shot straight into the iTunes Top Ten and is set to make a massive dent on the official charts this weekend.
The first track from their upcoming fourth studio album Cavalier Youth was premiered this week on Zane Lowe's Radio One show and was met with huge praise from fans, who have helped the track reach No.10 in the midweek charts, the highest chart placing of their career to date. The band previously peaked at No.21 with 'Rescue Me' in 2011.
"We're currently No.10 in the midweeks, which is phenomenal in terms of the expectations we had for the song," frontman Josh Franceschi tells Gigwise. "It has been a really really nice way of coming back into the game after not doing music for while so we're all very happy."

The band have yet to announce a release date for the new album, but Franceschi adds that it is their best yet.
"I think we've finally found our sound," he added. "It's the best record we've ever done. I know every band says that about their new record."
"As a musician we don't want to regurgitate the same old shit, I think it would have been easy for us to do that on this record, even more so if you look around at what else is going on, and mimic that but we've gone completely the other way and done what we've wanted to do."
