Now that it's (nearly) all over, here's our pick of the summer's best moments
- Crystal Fighters @ Optimus Alive: Perhaps one of the UK's most underrated live bands, Crystal Fighters proved a spectacular, late-night highlight at this year's Optimus Alive in Portugal, one of the continent's fastest growing festivals. With relentless energy, the London / Spanish band thrilled the crowds on the Portgueuse coast with songs from their two albums, including this year's brilliant Cave Rave. Despite the likes of Depeche Mode and Kings Of Leon headlining the event, Crystal Fighters stole the show for us. A truly amazing performance.

Blimey - what a summer that was. After months of mud, music and mayhem the time has finally come to say farewell to festival season as Bestival marked the last huge party of the summer. As memories fade like tanlines, we look back on our favourite moments of summer festival season 2013.
In a year that saw legends such as The Rolling Stones, Kraftwerk and Stone Roses try to reclaim history while newer acts like Foals and Bloc Party laid their claim to the throne as festival kings, this summer has seen utterly magical moments on stages and in fields around the world.
