The Wanted: Boyband The Wanted were understandably freaked out by a fan who ate a lock of member Jay McGuiness''s hair. The girl had a pair of scissors when meeting the band and asked if she could cut off a lock of Jay''s hair. When he said yes, she cut the hair and then swallowed it, before saying "You''ll be with me forever." Probably one of the creepiest fans ever.
Madonna: A 59-year-old firefighter loved Madonna so much that he got in trouble with the police after writing signs to her. The crazed fan spray painted giant signs and hung them outside her New York apartment so the singer would be sure to see. One of the signs read: "M, the Universe brought us together in 1992 and again this year in Prague. Meet me please XXX."
All Time Love: Conforming to the ''crazy teen girl'' stereotype are two fans of pop-punk band All Time Low, who gained internet fame after writing a blog about their attempt at stalking frontman Alex Gaskarth. The blog, since deleted, included the story of how the girls found his address, sat outside his house for three hours waiting for him to get home and at one point hid in his bushes. After all that, the All Time Low singer was still nice enough to take photos with them before Tweeting about how he''s going to build a moat outside his house. We don''t blame you, Alex.
The Jonas Brothers: In 2008, The Jonas Brothers were at the height of their fame and totally in demand. So much so, in fact, that two teenage fans scaled the wall outside of their home and climbed onto the roof in an attempt to catch a glimpse of their idols. After failing to get a photo, the house alarm went off and the two girls ran away before the police came. Oh dear.
Miley Cyrus: One crazed Miley Cyrus fan started up a website after the singer deleted her Twitter, trying to blackmail her into returning. The website, which was called mileysavefuzzy.com, said that the fan would kill a cat if Miley didn''t return to the social networking site. An excerpt from the site is: "I looked at my cat, Fuzzy and I realized... I could always get another cat, but nothing can replace Miley''s tweets for me." Miley has since returned to Twitter, but it''s unknown if the cat survived.
Jessie J: A teenage Jessie J fan took things too far when she broke her own leg in order to be more like the singer. She tracked down Jessie''s private details after the singer broke her foot and sent her photos of her own injured limb, along with lots of text messages - including one saying "I will do anything to be just like you." Jessie was reportedly scared for her own safety - and we don''t blame her.
Michael Jackson: A group of Michael Jackson fans are suing physician Dr Conrad Murray for ''''emotional distress'''' caused by MJ''''s death. Last November, Murray was found guilty of administering the fatal dose of anaesthetic propofol which killed the star. Now the Michael Jackson Community members have launched a lawsuit against him. The representing lawyer says, "It''s similar to losing a childhood friend in a traffic accident." Err, not really.
Westlife: Jane Holmes, 44, split up from her husband after he gave her the ultimatum: "Westlife or me." When asked to choose between them, Jane chose the band. However, she insists that he should''ve seen it coming. "My husband knew before we got married that they would come before him," she says. Maybe next time he''ll take it more seriously.

Following the incident Barnes was taken to hospital.
Justin Bieber: In 2010, a web designer launched a Firefox add-on called ''Shaved Bieber'', which would erase all mentions of Justin Bieber from the Internet when enabled. One 15-year-old fan was so angry that she wrote a letter, saying: "I realize that you''re just stating an opinion, but what you''re doing is going back to World War II all over again. Hitler wanting to erase Jews from society - you want to erase Justin Bieber."

"I spend 30 minutes every day perfecting the 'Harry look'."
