17 September, 2013: Metallica's new concert movie, Through The Never, is more than the average collection of live videos. The film features a plot featuring a young roadie trying to escape a 'death-dealing horseman' on desolate street while attempting to return a mysterious item to the band. All mixed in with a collection of live videos, obviously.
The film stars the band (as themselves) and rising young actor Dane Dehaan as the roadie in question. All of whom attended the film's public premiere in San Rafael, California this week. The band answered questions from the audience and mingled with fans at the event, making the most of the refreshments on offer as well.
Metallica's Through The Never is released in IMAX cinemas across the US on 27 September 2013, with worldwide release to follow. See photos from the public launch in California here.
