Elton John - The music legend praised the band to Interview magazine in 2004: "Their album, Hot Fuss, is already gold, but I think it's only the beginning. They're absolutely brilliant, and their lead singer is one of the sexiest men on the planet. I think they're America's most attractive-sounding rock band."
Nicky Wire - The Manic Street Preachers bassist slated The Killers' second album Sam's Town in 2007 to NME: "The last Killers album is truly dreadful, and I think everyone thinks so... There's no authenticity in that record at all, extremely false and calculated. They're morally bankrupt, for Mormons especially!"
Timbaland - The R&B producer told GQ in 2006: "I find them to be a great alternative group. I love to see artists that do not conform to the normal, because it creates great music."
Pete Wentz - The Fall Out Boy bassist went on a rant on his blog about the band in 2005 whilst writing about fellow Las Vegas band and friends Panic! At the Disco: "I hope none of THE OTHER Las Vegas BANDs get jealous that there is another gem out in the middle of the desert. F---ing wasting my time on FLOWERS."
Kanye West - Back in 2007, when Yeezy's ego hadn't quite landed yet, the rapper told Rolling Stone The Killers were "my absolute favorite band".
Reverend and the Makers - Frontman Jon McClure slammed the band for being too mainstream: "The Killers are corporate whores playing a marketing game with the unsuspecting masses. The ruthlessly efficient mainstream shall prevail with The Killers as soundtrack."
You Me at Six - The pop punk rockers told us last month they look up to Brandon Flowers and co, saying "We aspire to be Kings of Leon or The Killers"
Jarvis Cocker - In 2009, the Pulp frontman reviewed The Killers' track 'The World We Live In' for the Guardian - and wasn't impressed. "This is so bad it actually made me feel sorry for them for a minute. They seem to want success so badly and then they curl this one out and mess it all up for themselves," was his damning verdict.
Kele Okereke - The Bloc Party singer made his feelings about the band clear when asked by The Daily Mirror if they had watched their performance when at the same American radio station. "I didn't watch The Killers," Okereke admitted. "In fact, I made sure I left before they came onstage."
Morrissey - The notoriously shy and private Smiths legend revealed he is nonplussed about the band in 2012. "The Killers asked me to sing with them this month in New York, but I'm just not the type. I stick to my own backyard," he said.
Lady Gaga - The eccentric pop star praised the band to Orange in 2009. "I love The Killers. I hung out with them at a party at Motor City [bar] in New York City." She added: "I really like their last album. I'm a huge Bruce Springsteen fan, and he clearly inspired their work."
Ryan Adams - The singer-songwriter spoke about The Killers scathingly in a 2008 feature for the Guardian. "I mean, really, does anyone want to sit through a show by the Killers? What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, unfortunately with the exception of the Killers," he ranted.
