The legendary rockers took to the stage in Hyde Park the summer just gone to to play two massive sold out concerts as part of their 50 and Counting tour, which marked, of course, the band's fiftieth anniversary. It had also been 44 years to the day since the band had first played the London park in 1969, a now legendary moment in music.
As well as newer hits such as 'Doom and Gloom', the iconic band also brought out classic tracks such as 'Brown Sugar', 'Start Me Up' and 'Gimme Shelter'.
Jagger, 70, expressed his enjoyment at playing the summer shows, saying: "I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the Rolling Stones 50 than doing it on our home patch in front of 100,000 people on a glorious summer night...Enjoy it – we certainly did."
Sweet Summer Sun - Hyde Park Live will be released on 11 November, 2013.
