Please get on with it: 8 musical projects that are taking forever

Believe it or not, all these are still happening

Guns N' Roses' album - Their last record, Chinese Democracy, took a DECADE to come out and $13 million to make. It was released in 2008, and they've been harping on about a follow up ever since but there's no sign of it yet - and there's probably still another five years to go (despite the band suggesting it will be released in 2014). Guys, you're not getting any younger - and nor are we.

The Kurt Cobain biopic - The inevitable still hasn't actually happened, even 9 years after the Nirvana frontman's death. His ex-wife Courtney Love is heading up the project and offers a soundbite every so often to keep the interest going, but at this point it's probably best to let it lie. Especially if she plays herself, as she's threatened in the past.

The Freddie Mercury biopic - There is still no hint at when we might see the long-awaited movie based on the Queen frontman's life, despite a director (Dexter Fletcher) and even a leading man (Dominic Cooper) signed up to the project. Will the movie ever be made, or will it remain in limbo forever?

Azealia Banks' Broke With Expensive Taste - When Banks burst onto the scene with the explosive '212' we were sure exciting things were in store. Mixtape Fantasea was great but fans have been promised an album for months now. With the release date being pushed back repeatedly and lead single 'Yung Rapunxel' flopping, what's going on? Banks has, ridiculously, even announced her second album - hold your horses, girl. Where's your first?

The Oasis comeback - It's been five years since the legendary Britpop band's supposed final album, Dig Out Your Soul, and die-hard fans of the Gallaghers refuse to let go. Rumours of a reunion continue to swirl despite both Noel and Liam being busy making public snipes at each other. The latest rumour is they've been offered a massive amount of money to reform in 2014 and are said to be considering it. It's all about the music, ey?

Blur's album - The other band at the forefront of the Britpop movement, Damon Albarn and co last released an album a decade ago. They've played several live shows in the past couple of years but producer William Orbit has announced the band have canned work on a new album, and said he'll never work with them again. Oops. At least Alex James has his cheese company.

Beyonce's album - It's been over three years since 4 was released and Queen B's fans are getting impatient. The album has been talked about and teased throughout 2013 - and she has even announced a 2014 arena tour - but new album? She's not said a word...
