Drummer dismisses permanent split rumours

Rumours of The Killers have been floating around on the internet with thier guitarist admitting he was sick of touring and Brandon Flowers mentioned he was making a solo album, but it seems the band may just be taking a break after their EMA performance this Sunday.
Drummer Ronnie Vannucci has cleared up rumours after telling The Hollywood Reporter that their performance at the EMA's may be their last for a while so the band can 'take a breather'.
He told THR: "I think everybody is looking forward to putting their feet up for a little while and having some normalcy."
He went on to say that it won't be the end of the band just yet though: "I think it wil be a little while. I don't think it will take an unnaturally long time for us to get guys together. [But] its time to take a breather and ground out a little bit."
The Vegas rockers will headline the MTV World Stage on Friday 8 November before a Sunday performance at the MTV European Music Awards in Amsterdam ahead of their release of 'Direct Hits' out on Monday 11 November to celebrate the 10th Anniversary as a band.
Vannucci reflected on the time The Killers have had as a band saying they've been "really lucky to have this crazy life we have."
But even if it takes a while for The Killers to reform, Vannucci hinted at possible solo ambitions: "In 2011, I made a record, and I think I want to make another. I'm already starting it. I love that notion of momentum. I think some of the other guys are just going to chill out, keep writing probaby, make sure to get some rest."
