The Kings of Leon have dished out some valuable advice for One Direction on how to deal with the trappings of fame, advising the boyband to ban fans from using their phones at parties.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper thThtrouble in the press by confiscating girls' phones at parties. This has landed the group in hot water frequently over the last year with Zayn being caught chatting up fans and snaps of the group emerging in various compromising positions.
''If you're going to have a party in a hotel room, have a box at the door and take the girls' phones - that's what gets kids into trouble these days. Every phone is a camera," said drummer Nathan Followill in an interview with The Sun newspaper.
Frontman Caleb Followill also said that the group should shy away from attempting to reinvent themselves as anything other than a pop group, saying that they already have a huge fanbase and shouldn't risk alienating them by switching things up.
''Don't try to turn into a rock band or anything. You are already there and have your music and your fans, so don't try change what you are,'' he said.
